May 2014

We had another exciting turn out on the 27th May. Thank you to all who came along. It is exciting to meet new people in the community and say hello to familiar faces.

We had an attendance of 19 people.

James Barwood from JDL Strategies spoke about Financial planning and how he can manage strategies to control your income for the future.

I spoke about aligning with the Bringa Women’s shelter in Dee Why. They have been in the local news recently due to the Government threatening to cease funding to Women’s shelters. I would like to help by providing household items for domestic violence sufferers who have to flee their homes without the necessities. Bringa places women into homes for 12 months. I am asking members to keep items aside for the time being that they want to get rid of or sell. I am waiting on a list from Bringa so I know exactly what the new families need. If you would like to help please contact me, mardi@scoopsocial.com.au. So far they need beds, lounge, dining table and chairs.
